1. What Data We Collect
When you create an account, we collect your email address, name, and authentication credentials (password hash or Google OAuth token). When you use the platform, we store your portfolio data (ledger entries, holdings, watchlist items) and any analysis results you generate.
If you connect a brokerage account through our integration partner SnapTrade, we receive your brokerage account information, positions, balances, and order history. We store a SnapTrade user identifier and an encrypted user secret to maintain your connection.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To provide portfolio analysis, total return calculations, and investment insights exclusively for your own use.
- To display your brokerage positions and enable trade placement at your explicit request.
- To send you email notifications about technical rating changes, if you opt in.
- To enable participation in investment communities you voluntarily join.
3. Market Data
Market data received through the SnapTrade API is used solely for the licensed user who requested it. We do not redistribute, resell, or share market data obtained via SnapTrade with any third party.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal or financial data. Your data is shared only in the following circumstances:
- SnapTrade: We transmit necessary identifiers to SnapTrade to facilitate brokerage connections and trade execution on your behalf.
- Communities: If you join an investment community, your aggregate portfolio performance may be visible to other community members. Individual holdings are never shared without your consent.
- Legal obligations: We may disclose data if required by law or valid legal process.
5. Your Rights
- You can disconnect any brokerage account at any time through the Account Ledger.
- You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us.
- You own your data and choose who and how to share it.
6. Security
Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. Brokerage connection secrets are encrypted at rest. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information.
